Who is Faith Church?
Loving and leading people into a growing faith in Jesus
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus left his disciples with one mission: to make disciples. A disciple is a follower of Christ - someone who is constantly growing in their faith and confidence in Jesus. For that reason, our mission is to love and lead people into a growing faith in Jesus. We take Jesus at His word when He said that all authority was given to Him, and we put our faith in His promise that He will always be with us. Our desire is to see a gathering of people bringing the good news of hope into the broken world we live in. God loves everyone wherever they are at, but loves them too much to leave them there.

A lot of churches are known for what they're against. We want to be known by who we are for. We are for the community. We are for families. We are for those living in the 508.
For us, it's all about Jesus. He is not an add-on to our lives; he is to be the essence of our lives. He is not one way to God. He is THE way to God.
We are not a perfect, polished church. Instead, we authentically seek the presence of a perfect Savior. For us, there is no pretense. What you see is what you get.
Matthew Geeze
Matt's life mission is to lead those who are in darkness into the light of Jesus. Matt was raised at Faith Church with his dad becoming the Lead Pastor when he was 10 months old. In high school and college, he drifted from his faith and was living in darkness, but through a dramatic experience, Matt rededicated his life to Jesus in 2010 and received his call to ministry. Since then, he has served in the church, finished his Master's in Theology, and stepped into the Lead Pastor role in 2023. His passions include preaching, leading worship, and helping people take their next step with Jesus.

Core Values
The gospel is the “good news” that God has reached down to us in his Son, Jesus, to conquer sin, death, and their effects in our world. Who we are and what we do is rooted in and empowered by the gospel. Baptism is a visual representation of the gospel: the death and resurrection of Jesus. We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - coeternal in being and nature, and coequal in power. God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. (See: Gen 1:1, 26-27 , Psa 90:2, Mat 28:19 , 1 Pe 1:2, 1 Cor 13:14)
We believe that the Father is coequal with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move, and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises. (See: Lev 11:44-45, Psa 11:4-6, Mal 3:6, John 5:26, Rom 3:3-4)
We believe that Jesus is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. He is the Son of God who became fully human while remaining fully God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to live a sinless human life and offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He was resurrected on the third day after His crucifixion to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven and will return again to earth someday to reign as King. (See: John 1:1-5, 14, Lk 1:35, Matt 1:22-23, Isa 9:6, Heb 4:14-15, 1 Cor 15:3-4, Rom 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Tim 6:14-15, Titus 2:13)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is a person that makes people aware of their need for Jesus. He lives in each Christian, enabling them to live a holy life and be a powerful witness of Jesus. He gives everyone spiritual gifts when they become a disciple of Jesus, and our goal is to live under His control every day. (See: Acts 1:8, John 16:7-13, 14:16-17, Gal 5:25, 1 Cor 2:12, 3:16, Eph 1:13, 5:18)
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Because it is inspired by God, we believe the Bible is truth without error. It is the ultimate authority for faith and life. (See: 2 Tim 3:16, 1:13, 2 Pet 1:20-21, Psa 119:105, 160, 12:6, Pro 30:5)
We believe that men and women were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him. We are the supreme object of God’s creation, but through Adam’s sin, we inherited a sinful nature and became alienated in our relationship with God. As a result, we are incapable of regaining the right relationship with God through our own efforts. Furthermore, we were created to exist forever, either eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. We believe that heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence. (See: Lev 11:44-45, Psa 11:4-6, Mal 3:6, John 5:26, Rom 3:3-4)
We believe that the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. We cannot earn our right-standing with God through works or good deeds. Salvation is a free gift that comes by placing our faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for our sin. (See: Rom 6:23, Eph 2:8-9, John 14:6, Titus 3:5, Gal 3:26, Rom 5:1, 10:9-10)
We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith and are followers of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the world. (See: Eph 1:22-23, Acts 1:27, Eph 3:8-12)
We believe that baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is a way of publicly declaring our new life in Christ. It is a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism. (See: Matt 3:16-17, 28:18-20, Acts 2:41, 8:12)
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. As we grow more like Christ and carry out the works that He has prepared for us, we make the gospel that much more attractive to the world (Ephesians 2:10; Titus 2:7-8; 1 Peter 2:11-12).
Faith Church is a member of the Venture Churches. Venture Church (previously know as Conservative Baptist Association) is a Christian association of churches in the United States with each local congregation being autonomous and responsible for their own way of functioning. There are some non-essential beliefs that there may be some disagreement on from person to person. These may include interpretations of end times, the creation account in Genesis, etc. However, the essentials of what we believe are everything listed above.
